Episode 5
I’ve been working hard on the update! Right now, we’re at 1900+ renders and 113 animations, and I’m still rendering new scenes as we speak. I’m really happy with how the episode is shaping up, and I’m confident that by the time it’s fully done, it’ll be more than worth the wait.
Episode 4
Episode 4, titled ‘Smile’, will be playable on Saturday, October 19th. It will be available for free for anyone that owns Having a HARD Time on Itch.io.
There are a few reasons why it took a bit longer, one of which being that my PC died not too long ago (not to worry, it’s up and running again, and with upgraded parts), but the most important reason has to do with its size.
It ended up being the largest episode to date, as I’m writing this I have already surpassed the 2000 renders and 100 animations, which for me is a pretty crazy amount. For some perspective, this is more than double the size of the very first episode.
There are still several animations and a bunch of renders queued up, and I also have quite some work to do in the coming days, but it should all be done by the 19th.
Episode 3
- ~1900 new renders
- 69 (not on purpose, but I’ll take it) new animations

- 11 new achievements
- Small tweaks/improvements to existing renders and writing
- Added an option to change the hotkey for opening the phone inside the phone’s settings app (standard is still middle mouse button)
- Fixed laggy animations for some older computers by changing the way they’re programmed in.
- Started adding translations (note these are still a work in progress and also the third episode script is not yet translated).
- Other quality of life improvements
- Added gesture functionality to the Android version (i.e. swipe up to open the phone)

- 1400+ new renders

Episode 1 – Released
Introduction featuring more than 1000 renders and a bunch of animations.
Developer Notes
The first episode serves mainly as an introduction to the game’s world and characters before ‘shit hits the fan’, so to speak. The MC is female but eventually ends up with male genitalia (alongside existing female genitalia) due to a freak accident. The MC is attracted to females, thus this game will mostly feature romancing other females (but with the added benefit of penetration).

Installation: Extract the folder “game” from the mod into your Having a Hard Time folder then overwrite if prompted

Unzip the mod -> Right click Having a Hard Time -> Click “Show Package Contents” -> Open the “Contents/Resources/autorun” folder -> Hold the Option key and drag the folder named “game” from the mod into the “autorun” folder -> Click merge.
